After the stunner of Saturday, the Mavericks’ Tuesday acquisition of 29-year-old wing Caleb Martin from Philadelphia is relatively small potatoes. The Mavs grabbed Martin in exchange for Quintin Grimes and a 2025 second-round pick, following up the Luka Doncic trade by bringing another shooter/defender into the mix.

The Mavericks are optimistic that Caleb Martin can return from a sprained hip in 2-3 weeks after the severity of his injury prompted an amendment of their trade with the 76ers, sources told ESPN.
