"An impactful storm system will move into Michigan Sunday into early next week, with accumulating snow, strong winds, and blowing snow," the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids said on Facebook. "The best chances for heavy snow will be across the Upper Peninsula, and the snow belts of lower Michigan.
A winter storm warning is in place for the eastern and western U.P. and most of the Lower Peninsula, mainly along the western snowbelt. A high wind warning is in effect for southeast Michigan because of the potential for 60 mph wind gusts. The Great Lakes are under storm, gale, and heavy freezing spray warnings.
