Governor Patrick Morrisey on Tuesday praised the unified relief and recovery efforts going on in flood-ravaged Ohio and Marion counties as part of his daily flood updates.
A flash flood that swept through the city Sunday left streets looking like rivers and displaced about 50 residents of a West Side apartment complex. Gov. Patrick Morrisey also amended a previous state of emergency declaration originally issued for Ohio County to include Marion County after local officials connected with his office.
FAIRMONT, W.Va. (WBOY) — A State of Emergency has been declared in Marion County following heavy rains and flash flooding. A press release from Governor Patrick Morrisey’s office states that the decision to make the declaration was due to a “continuing threat to the health, safety, welfare, and property.”
