I get that the zoom is a way for Nikon to make the lens even more exotic and command a high price premium.

I keep all my software, etc from old printers, scanners, cameras, hard drives, etc going back to MS-DOS days.

Jan 6, 2006 · My N8008s body has a metal rewind fork. I also have a later F100 body with the newer beefier plastic rewind fork. I'm still a little surprised that Nikon would put a plastic fork in something that was marketed as a semi-pro camera, initially retailing for around $1200. The change to the plastic design probably saved them $1 per camera. WTF.
