The jet built to detach midair, the Convair B-36 Peacemaker was a 10-engine Cold War monster bomber. But what's rarely known is that it carried a parasite fighter jet inside it. Called the XF-85 Goblin, the tiny fighter was stored in the bomb bay and could be launched mid-flight to defend the bomber, then return and dock back inside using a trapeze system.
