Is this the only Mash Tun Bar in Scotland? We attended the launch of Blair Athol Distillery, #Pitlochry new bar, made from a mash tun. During the #whisky distilling process, the mash tun (or tub) is filled with grist, and boiling water then stirred in order to help the extraction of sugar from the barley to the water. The first of hopefully many Christmas Fairs at the Blair Athol Distillery, Pitlochry. This viseo does not do justice, as the camera failed to record after we shut it down to go on the distillery tour. The coopers were awesome, the Pitlochry lady who made the teas and offered china, typewritters and much more for hire - sorry.
