An al-Qaeda terrorist who plotted to bomb Bluewater shopping centre went before the Parole Board this week in a fresh bid for freedom. Salahuddin Amin was part of a five-strong al-Qaeda cell jailed for life in 2007 for planning a wave of UK bombings using chemical fertiliser devices. Amin was given a minimum term of 17 and a half years and was last refused parole in 2024, when the board ruled he may still pose a danger to the public. He was also refused a transfer to an open prison at that time.

A woman has died after she was found unresponsive inside an Amazon delivery vehicle in Florida. Deputies were called around 7:20 Monday night after someone reported that the delivery van had been sitting in the same spot for an unusually long time.
