This 800-Hp 351W build started by making it into a bigger, 408 Stroker. We then added a big cam, high flow @trickflowspecialties 11R heads and matching single-plane intake. With the @holleyperformance 950 XP carb and long tubes (they were too small) -the 408 just topped the 600-hp mark. We then added a 150 (or so) shot from a Zex nitrous setup. This resulted is an oh-so-close to 800-hp reading of 793 hp. The full vid has even more cool insight. Make sure to check@out @richardholdenerperformance

Thnx for 1M views on the original video where I used a 5.3L LS to drive and flow test the little AMR500 supercharger. Many were confused about this video, wondering why I didn’t use the little blower to boost the LS. The blower was only big enough to support 100-150 hp. It would be a restriction on the 440-hp V8. You can do all the prep stuff for boost and run your motor NA til you save up for one of our RHP Boosty Boys! The extra gap won’t hurt power ! Top 3 Reasons: Why the cam swap didn’t make the HP gains. Reason 3-Restrictions elsewhere. The more power your combo makes (with a cam swap) the greater the restrictions become. Things LS4 or LS1 intake manifolds, MAFs and air intakes. The same is true of stock exhaust manifolds, cats and cat backs.
