Emergency services are dealing with a serious crash on a busy road in Cardiff this evening. Two vehicles appear to have been involved in the collision, which occurred on Cowbridge Road East in Canton, near Victoria Park, at around 5pm. A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "We're at the scene of a collision on Cowbridge Road East, Canton, Cardiff. "The road is currently closed from junction of Aldsworth Road to Grosvenor Street. "Please avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible

Police are investigating reports of a "serious sexual assault" in a lane near a busy street in Cardiff. The assault was reported in the early hours of Monday morning.
