In 1889 Naples, pizzaiolo Raffaele Esposito supposedly created a special pizza for Queen Margherita using red tomatoes, white mozzarella, and green basil mirroring Italys flag. 🍕 👑 As the popular story goes, the queen loved the dish so much that they named it after her the Pizza Margherita. Esposito and his pizzeria Brandi claimed to have received a royal thank you letter praising the pizza which they proudly displayed for decades. But historical records tell a different story. The combination
