Mesa Verde National Park on Reels

It's monsoon season, and storms will be common on Mesa Verde, with thick sheets of rain falling in the afternoons, punctuated by lightning strikes. This is great news for most, but can catch the unprepared unawares. Monsoonal storms like these are vital to the ecosystems of Mesa Verde, provided much needed water to a landscape that has been dry since mid-May. We are more than happy to welcome it back, but urge people to look at weather reports when visiting, and plan accordingly. Summer storms c
