Monument Valley. The 17-mile drive in Monument Valley is a scenic, unpaved loop road that showcases iconic sandstone buttes and has been featured in many movies. The road is rough with deep sand and rocky, uneven terrain, so a high-clearance or 4WD vehicle is recommended; otherwise, a guided tour is a great option.
