N. Scott Momaday's The Way to Rainy Mountain: Literary Style & Purpose Analysis

The Kiowa Tribe is planning 9 miles of fencing to bring a Buffalo herd to Rainy Mountain near Mountain View, Oklahoma. In March when the historic Rainy Mountain Kiowa Indian Baptist burned, we attended the first service in the surviving Gotebo Hall to offer support. We learned fencing was being planned to return the Buffalo to Rainy Mountain. After, we drove past Rainy Mountain to the N. Scott Momaday First Americans Education and History Center. He would be so pleased at the Buffalo’s return. N
