Sadly, hundreds of Australian flying-foxes become caught in large aperture fruit tree netting each year. Yuki is an orphaned grey headed flying fox rescued from the NSW fires and drought. Grey headed flying foxes are a nationally listed vulnerable species. He was half the weight he should have been when he was first rescued but quickly started thriving in care with his carer. Yuki is now learning to fly and socialise with the other orphans.
